New COVID-19 Cancellation policies
*For any other reasons of cancellation on your behalf a refund policy will be under our terms and conditions attached at the end of this page.
The enhanced cancellation provisions contained in this Appendix will apply only if and to the extent that your booking is directly affected as a direct result of the global pandemic known as ‘Covid-19’.
We have introduced this appendix to provide additional flexibility so that clients can continue to book with confidence. Cancellation options within one, 3 and 6 weeks of your schedule arrival in resort have been put into place as bellow:
7 days prior to your arrival date:
If, within seven days of your scheduled arrival in resort, there is:
- a Covid-19 related closure of all mountain lifts in the Morzine-Avoriaz area; or
- an instruction by the local authorities in France to close our chalets as a result of Covid-19; or
- a travel ban imposed in France or the country of residence of the Party Leader, which prevents travel to resort within the time frame prescribed in the booking;
then we will accept a cancellation by you and provide you, with one of the following alternatives:
- A credit note for 100% of the amount paid to us minus 250€ which covers the administrative costs and fixed overheads of Mountain Voyages chalet (SDF Paul Augusto) associated with providing your holiday. This credit note can be used to cover a booking to start at any time before 31st August 2022
- A refund of all the money paid by you, except for the non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total cost of your booking, which covers the administrative costs and fixed overheads of Mountain Voyages chalet (SDF Paul Augusto) associated with providing your holiday
3 weeks prior to your arrival date:
If, within 3 weeks of your scheduled arrival in resort, there is:
- a Covid-19 related closure of all mountain lifts in the Morzine-Avoriaz area; or
- an instruction by the local authorities in France to close our chalets as a result of Covid-19; or
- a travel ban imposed in France or the country of residence of the Party Leader, which prevents travel to resort within the time frame prescribed in the booking;
then we will accept a cancellation by you and provide you, with one of the following alternatives:
- A credit note for 100% of the amount paid to us minus 150€ which covers the administrative costs and fixed overheads of Mountain Voyages chalet (SDF Paul Augusto) associated with providing your holiday. This credit note can be used to cover a booking to start at any time before 31st August 2022
- A refund of all the money paid by you, except for the non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total cost of your booking, which covers the administrative costs and fixed overheads of Mountain Voyages chalet (SDF Paul Augusto) associated with providing your holiday
6 weeks prior to your arrival date:
If, within 6 weeks of your scheduled arrival in resort, there is:
- a Covid-19 related closure of all mountain lifts in the Morzine-Avoriaz area; or
- an instruction by the local authorities in France to close our chalets as a result of Covid-19; or
- a travel ban imposed in France or the country of residence of the Party Leader, which prevents travel to resort within the time frame prescribed in the booking;
then we will accept a cancellation by you and provide you, with one of the following alternatives:
- A credit note for 100% of the amount paid to us, this credit note can be used to cover a booking to start at any time before 31st August 2022
- A refund of all the money paid by you, except for the non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total cost of your booking, which covers the administrative costs and fixed overheads of Mountain Voyages chalet (SDF Paul Augusto) associated with providing your holiday
For the avoidance of doubt this enhances your protection by replacing the terms in clause 6 that would otherwise apply in these circumstances.
If a credit note is issued and accepted by you and if any portion of the credit note is unused after making a future booking, then the remaining balance will not be refunded by Mountain Voyages chalet (SDF Paul Augusto). However, the unused amount can be used against further future bookings starting before 31st August 2022
If a credit note is issued and accepted by you and then used as payment for a future booking which gets cancelled for any reason whatsoever outside of our control, then the total amount of any refund in respect of that booking cannot in any circumstances whatsoever exceed the total amount paid for the new booking, excluding the value of any credit note used.
Subject to the terms in the previous paragraph, once the credit note has been used, it will be treated as a payment for the new booking and will be subject to the terms and conditions of the booking, as with any other payment against that booking
Mountain Voyages chalet (SDF Paul Augusto) is required to comply with all national and local government imposed regulations, recommendations and measures relating to Covid-19. Accordingly we reserve the right to make changes to the services offered or service level provided by Mountain Voyages chalet (SDF Paul Augusto) during your stay in our accommodation should this be required by such regulations. Reasonable efforts will be made to keep any such interruption to a minimum
Force Majeure
Covid-19 is now a known problem and therefore, under French law, any cancellations related to Covid-19 cannot be classed as Force Majeure.
For any other reasons of cancellation on your behalf a refund policy will be under our terms and conditions attached bellow.
